Break out the big broom and hoist it up the Perisconpe for all to see. Congrats to the newly retrofitted USS Florida SSGN 728, She flew through her sea trials last week and is now ready to hit the seas. Read the article here. In the future I would really enjoy serving aboard this type of submarine.

The USS Florida was a outstanding boat as a SSBN. I had the opportunity to watch the crew in action during test missile launches in the mid to late 90's. Probably the best crew I observed while stationed at NOTU Cape Canaveral. I’m sure she will only get better with her new mission as a SSGN.
